# Run the free ChatGPT check

The quick check asks ChatGPT 10 questions your customers would ask with web search on. It shows how many answers mention you and who they mention instead. It is free and needs no email.

## Run it

1. Open [bisica.com/chatgpt](https://bisica.com/chatgpt/).
2. Enter the company’s name and its website.
3. Say what it sells and who buys it, for example “accounting software for small restaurants”. We write the 10 questions from this line.
4. Add a city and state only if the company serves one area.
5. Press **See who ChatGPT mentions**.

The answers arrive one by one. The count at the top updates as they do.

## The result

- How many of the 10 answers mention the company.
- The companies each answer mentions.
- Every answer in full, as ChatGPT wrote it, with the pages it listed as sources.
- A link to the result that anyone can open without an account. It is saved for 30 days.

## How it asks

Software writes 10 questions a buyer would type before choosing a company. No question contains the company’s name, because a name in the question steers the answer. Each question goes to the model behind ChatGPT through OpenAI’s developer service, with web search on, as a buyer in the United States. Each question is asked once and on its own, with no memory of the others.

## The buttons under a result

| Button | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Copy the link to this result | Copies the result’s own address. |
| Count again | Counts the same answers again with another name you sell under. It asks ChatGPT nothing new. |
| Ask the missing questions again | Shown when an answer failed or came back empty. It asks only those questions again. |
| Get the full report | Opens the free snapshot request with your details carried over. |

## Limits

- A website can be checked three times in 30 days.
- One visitor can run the check three times an hour and ten times a day.
- The check stops for the day once it has run a set number of times. The page says so. It opens again the next day by New York time.

## Why your own ChatGPT can say something else

The check asks through OpenAI’s developer service with no memory. The ChatGPT app on your phone remembers your earlier chats. Ask the same question twice and the list can change too. [Why answers differ](/your-report/why-answers-differ/) explains more.

## The check and the snapshot

The free snapshot asks 50 questions three times each on four AI tools, which makes it the count to plan from. See [Request a free snapshot](/getting-started/request-a-snapshot/).
