# Read the leak count

The first page of your report is the leak count. It sorts the answers where AI is costing you into four lines (unnamed source, rival named, missing facts and wrong statements) that always add up to the total.

## The counting rule

Each answer is counted once, under the first leak it shows, in this order:

1. Unnamed source
2. Rival named
3. Missing facts
4. Wrong statements

The total is the number of answers with at least one leak. Because an answer that shows two leaks sits under the first one only, the four lines always add up to the total.

## Unnamed source

AI listed your site as a source and never mentioned you.

The links the answer gives include a page on your site, yet its text never mentions your company. The buyer reads about the brands the answer does mention. You appear only as a link in its source list. Your report shows how often this happened on each AI tool and on which questions.

## Rival named

A competitor is called the pick and you are not mentioned.

This line counts only the questions a buyer asks when close to choosing. The answer calls a rival the best, top or recommended option and never mentions you. A rival named in the question itself doesn’t count. The buyer leaves with a shortlist you are not on.

## Missing facts

The answer gives another vendor’s price and none for you.

This line counts prices and no other fact. If we can’t tell whose price a number is, we don’t count the answer. If an answer names you and gives a price before naming anyone else, we count that price as yours.

## Wrong statements

The answer says something about you that conflicts with how you describe yourself.

It can be the wrong kind of product, a wrong product name or a wrong number. We confirm each one by hand. Your report quotes the sentence word for word.

## Where each fix usually is

| Line | Where the fix usually is |
| --- | --- |
| Unnamed source | The page AI already cites. We add your name and what you do where AI reads them. |
| Rival named | Your own pages for those questions, plus the outside sites and comparison pages where the rival is the pick. |
| Missing facts | Your pricing, or a clear statement of how you price, on a page AI can read. |
| Wrong statements | The page the wrong fact comes from, on your site or another. |
