What access we need from you
The free snapshot needs no access. In a Sprint we ask for read-only access to your analytics and for access to publish changes on your site, or your team can publish for us.
The free snapshot
We read your public website the way an AI tool does and ask AI tools about your company. All we need is what you put in the request form: your website, what you sell and your competitors.
A Sprint
| Access | What it is for | If you’d rather not |
|---|---|---|
| Your website’s editor, such as your CMS | We publish the changes you approve. | We send each page ready to publish. Your team publishes it. |
| Read-only analytics, usually Google Analytics | We count the visits AI tools send you before the Sprint, at six weeks and at 90 days. | We can’t count those visits. The answer counts still run. |
| Your crawler settings, such as robots.txt and your firewall’s bot rules | We fix the settings that stop AI tools reading your pages, with your web or security team’s sign-off. | We send your web team the exact change. |
Counting visits from AI tools
We count the sessions your analytics says came from AI tools such as chatgpt.com, perplexity.ai, claude.ai, gemini.google.com and copilot.microsoft.com. The first count covers the four weeks before the Sprint starts. We count again at week 6 and day 90.
Some AI apps send no referrer. Your analytics files those visits as direct traffic. The real number is at least as high as ours.
Confidentiality and health care
We sign your NDA. How we handle your data covers how we keep your report private and how health care clients work with us without sharing patient records.
