Retainer and Monitoring
Monitoring starts after a Sprint. It asks the Sprint’s questions every week and sends a monthly note. The Retainer adds 6 to 10 pieces of work a month and a weekly scorecard with the visits AI tools send you.
Side by side
| Monitoring | Retainer | |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly count on the Sprint’s questions | Yes | Yes |
| Weekly scorecard with the visits AI tools send you | Yes | |
| Pieces of work each month | 6 to 10 | |
| Ongoing site fixes | Yes | |

| Term | Month to month | Three-month minimum, then month to month |
| Fee | Monthly | Monthly |
Monitoring starts once the Sprint’s six-week count is delivered. Its monthly note goes with the weekly counts. Each brand gets a written quote. Your statement of work has the fee and the notice period.
What counts as a piece of work
A piece is one page written or reworked on your site, or one outside site worked on. Each month’s pieces are chosen from that week’s scorecard. Outside-site work is one of these four:
- A review-site profile claimed or corrected.
- A directory or marketplace listing completed or corrected.
- A correction request to a site that says something false about you.
- A request to be added to a comparison or “best of” page that leaves you out.
We never pay for a mention, write or fake a review, post under a name that is not yours or run a PR retainer.
How they fit together
Monitoring’s weekly counts take the place of the Sprint’s 90-day count. Monitoring ends when a Retainer starts, because the Retainer includes the same weekly count.
